Baron'arques 2005 Double Magnum, A.C. Limoux, France

Regular price £195.00

This prestigious, 43-hectare located in Limoux, Languedoc was acquired by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild branch of the family in 1998. Combining the climate of the Languedoc with Baron Philippe's Bordeaux expertise, the estate produces high quality, terroir-driven wines which are elegant and complex.

The 2005 vintage is widely considered exceptional, producing powerful and complex wines with excellent balance. On the nose, there is an intense bouquet of blackcurrant, plums, spices, tobacco and leather. On the palate, the wine is rich with well-integrated tannins, mingled with notes of dark fruit, cocoa and a hint of truffle.
