Blason l'Evangile 2014 Magnum, A.C. Pomerol, France
Chateau L’Evangile, situated in the appellation of Pomerol, dates back as far as 1741 and was acquired by DBR Lafite in 1989 – making L’Evangile the one and only property Lafite have on the ‘right bank’ of Bordeaux. The vineyard is planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and produces richly textured, complex and ripe Merlot based clarets. The Grand Vin, Chateau L’Evangile, requires substantial cellaring prior to optimum drinking. The second cuvee, Blason de L’Evangile, is accessible in it’s youth – both are wonderful examples of what this prestigious vineyard can achieve.
Intense and silky with toasted and vanilla-scented notes, accompanied by notes of fresh fruit, and black stone fruit.
