Château Nenin 1998, A.C. Pomerol, France

Regular price £140.00

Located in Pomerol on Bordeaux's right bank, Château Nenin is a 32-hectare estate known for producing powerful, refined, Merlot-dominant wines. This 1998 vintage follows the acquisition of the estate in 1997 by the Delon family, who replanted the entire vineyard to better suit the local soil.

Often described as one of the best vintages of its era, this 1998 Pomerol is seductive and smoky with a firm, well balanced structure. On the nose, notes of plum and blackcurrant jam mingle with tobacco and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and slightly creamy, with notes of ripe red currants and dark chocolate.
