Domaine l'Archiviste Maury 1990, A.C. Maury, France

Regular price £60.00

Domaine l'Archiviste specialises in rare, aged sweet wines from the Roussillon region in Southern France. Their wines are designed for long term ageing, and are widely regarded as collectable 'antique' sweet wines. The ageing process often produces intense yet complex flavour profiles with notes of caramel and dried fruit, as well as giving the wines their iconic mahogany and tawny colours.

This rich and powerful sweet wine has notes of mocha, caramelised nuts and honey, balanced out smoothly with some acidity. This 1990 vintage has undergone long oxidative barrel ageing, giving it a beautiful mahogany colour, and is drinking exceptionally well currently.
