Les Légendes ‘R’ is a collection consisting of five wines produced by Domaine Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). The range was introduced in the 1980’s under the name ‘Reserve de Barons’ at the request of friends and family. The wines are intended to provide immediate charm and approachability, without the need to cellar. The grapes are collected from Lafite’s partnership projects, in which technical advisors work very closely with growers to ensure the resulting grapes meet the highest possible standard in order to adorn the DBR emblem.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are married with a judicious touch of French oak to deliver a supple claret with juicy fruit and gentle spice. The Légende range focuses on a gentle extraction aiming for a style that offers instant pleasure, so there’s little need for extensive decanting or a lengthy cellaring. There’s lots of redcurrant and raspberry notes mingled with blackcurrant and mocha on the nose followed by a plump and supple palate.
