Maison Roche de Bellene Beaune Premier Cru 2020, A.C. Beaune, France

Regular price £40.00

The city of Beaune, once called Bellene until the middle ages, is renowned for its Burgundian wines. Nicholas Potel personally chose this brand name in reference to this city, historically linked wiht wine and famous for its diversity of terroirs. It was founded in 2008 after establishing Domaine de Bellene. Potel has travelled the world in pursuit of learning as many techniques and skills as possible, so that he could, one day, apply them on his home turf. This is the flagship wine from the village of “Bellene”, the purity and sense of place here is incredible.

Harvest is carried out entirely by hand and vinification ensures that the quality of the fruit shines through. A lovely fragrant nose with a rich yet delicate and fresh palate full of strawberry, cherry, redcurrant and blackberry are intertwined with nuances of smoke, wood and leather.
