Among the treasures of Waddesdon’s paintings collection is a portrait by Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, who’s subject has inspired this handy pocket mirror.

Madame de Pompadour, painted by Jeanne-Antionette Poisson (1721-1764), was the maîtresse-en-titre (acknowledged mistress) of Louis XV 1745 until her death.
