Château Clarke is a distinguished wine estate located in the Listrac-Médoc appellation of Bordeaux, France. The estate's origins trace back to the 12th century when Cistercian monks first cultivated vines on the property. In 1771, the Clarke family acquired the estate, lending it their name. A significant transformation occurred in 1973 when Baron Edmond de Rothschild purchased Château Clarke. Under his ownership, the vineyard underwent extensive replanting and modernization, revitalizing its winemaking practices and enhancing the quality of its wines.
