Chateau des Laurets 2016 Magnum In Wooden Box, A.C. Puisseguin Saint Emilion, France

Regular price £60.00

Château des Laurets is a historic Right Bank estate located in the Puisseguin–Saint-Émilion appellation, revitalised under the stewardship of Edmond de Rothschild Heritage. Centred on Merlot, with Cabernet Franc playing a supporting role, the château combines traditional terroir-driven winemaking with a modern, precise approach in both vineyard and cellar. The result is a refined and expressive style that highlights the limestone and clay soils of the appellation, producing wines of elegance, depth and understated power.

The 2016 Château des Laurets shows a beautifully mature and balanced expression, with aromas of ripe black cherry, plum and cassis layered with hints of cedar, cocoa and gentle spice. On the palate it is supple yet structured, offering polished tannins, fresh acidity and a core of dark fruit complemented by notes of graphite and savoury herbs. The finish is long and harmonious, revealing subtle earthy complexity and a poise that reflects both the strength of the vintage and the château’s refined house style.
