Domaine William Fèvre Chablis 2023, A.C. Chablis, France

Regular price £40.00

Domaine William Fèvre is one of Chablis’ most revered estates, celebrated for its pure, mineral-driven expressions of Chardonnay that capture the essence of the region’s Kimmeridgian soils. Founded in 1959 and now the largest holder of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in Chablis, the domaine combines meticulous vineyard work with a restrained, precise winemaking style. In 2024, the estate entered a new chapter when it was acquired by DBR Lafite, bringing the expertise and long-term vision of one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious families while preserving William Fèvre’s commitment to authenticity, terroir expression, and excellence.

The 2023 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis is pale lemon in colour with green highlights and offers an immediately fresh, precise nose of lemon zest, lime and white-fleshed orchard fruit, underpinned by subtle floral notes and classic Chablis minerality. On the palate it is dry and finely balanced, with bright citrus flavours framed by a taut, chalky texture and a gentle saline edge that reflects the Kimmeridgian soils. Lively acidity carries the wine through to a clean, refreshing finish, making this a textbook example of Fèvre’s pure, terroir-driven style.
