Famille Perrin Le Grand Prebois Cote du Rhone Rouge 2022, A.C. Cotes du Rhone, France

Regular price £17.00

It is no coincidence Famille Perrin is the leading organic wine grower of the Southern Rhône Valley where they occupy the regions best terroirs. Their values have given them a worldwide reputation for excellence: absolute respect for the soil, a commitment to manual methods and a deep belief that organic viticulture is the only way to express the true essence of the terroir. This is their entry Côtes-du-Rhône which has both classic and modern nuances in it’s style. A blend of specially selected Grenache & Syrah is aged in both oak barrels and stainless steel to concentrate the fruit as well as add oak nuances.

Seductive intense and deep ruby-red colour with purple undertones. This wine reveals a powerful nose with an aromatic variety harmoniously blending notes of very ripe black fruit with subtle notes of spices, enhanced with a hint of Sichuan pepper. Elegant and remarkably balanced, the palate offers fine tannins and superb aromas of small red fruit underlined by delicate peppery notes. Typical notes of Syrah that linger on a very long finish.
