Barons de Rothschild Champagne Triptyque 2019 A.C. Grand Cru Champagne, France
Champagne Barons de Rothschild; a Champagne House that is owned and managed by all three branches of the Rothschild family; Domaine Barons de Rothschild, Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Baron Edmond de Rothschild. This Champagne venture marks the family’s first collaborative project. Differing from their usual distinctly Chardonnay-led Champagnes, Triptyque uses a blend of 50% each of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from 3 Grand Cru vineyards: Avize, Ambonnay and Aÿ. The wine was aged on lees for 5 years before it was disgorged on August 26th 2025.
Refined and captivating, notes of blood orange, wild strawberry and black cherry on the nose balanced by chalky minerality. On the palate, there is a salty depth, with ripe citrus fruits and an elegant spicy touch on the finish. Feels silky in the mouth with a lovely extended finish of baked brioche.
