Château Odilon 2020, A.C Haut-Médoc, France

Regular price £25.00

This is the new label of Château Odilon, formerly named Château Peyre Lebade. Produced by Baron Benjamin under the guidance of Domaine Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). Château Odilon wine features the fruity characteristics specific to the Haut-Médoc appellation. The rich Merlot content makes it particularly supple with layered spice and crunchy red fruit. The fabulous 2020 vintage offers a 'fruit-forward' style with soft tannings and low acidity.

Classic Merlot on the nose; red cherry, blackberry and plum. Micro-oxygenation occurs in the barrel which enables the wine to reveal an array of mature spices; cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg. The dense and rich wine has supple red fruit at its very core. Although this drinks well now after a few hours in a decanter, you can't help thinking it's best years lay ahead.
