Château Paradis Casseuil 2019, A.C. Bordeaux, France

Regular price £20.50

The Château and vineyard of Paradis Casseuil was acquired by Baron Eric de Rothschild in 1984, and was recognised as the finest vineyard in the region of Entre-Deux-Mers. Château Paradis Casseuil wine is characterised by its freshness, intense fruitiness and slightly woody aromas. Just 8,000 cases are produced annually, this limited yield aims to guarantee high quality wines, respectful of the DBR (Lafite) style.

The vineyard of Paradis Casseuil is planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the classic pairing you find in almost all red Bordeaux blends. The Merlot brings juicy red fruit and the Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure and body. On the nose there’s delicate toasted notes with peppery red cherry and almonds. The palate is elegant and medium bodied with redcurrants, red cherry, cedar and spice. This easily accessible claret is perfect for drinking this year, but will hold in the cellar for a couple of years. Enjoy with roast chicken.
