The Réserve Spéciale range produced by DBR Lafite stylistically reflects the classic appellations and regions of Bordeaux. This Medoc example uses fruit from several prime parcels of land in the Medoc, and is aged in old oak barrels for 12 months prior to bottling. Thanks to a dry, hot summer, the 2022 vintage is characterised by ripeness, richness and concentration, yet still retains a good level of acidity. 

Developed and mature with notes of tobacco, cigar box, cedar, violets, blackberry, toast and cassis. The palate is much riper and richer than you may expect given the format. This is a juicy Medoc with layers of suave black fruit and earthy spice. Great stuff from DBR Lafite! A well priced magnum of claret from one of the very best producers, what’s not to love about that?
