Le Peewit Sauvignon Gris 2024, IGP Côtes de Gascogne, France

Regular price £13.00

Le Peewit Sauvignon Gris 2024, Côtes de Gascogne is a bright, characterful white from southwest France, made from the lesser-known Sauvignon Gris grape. Sourced from the sun-drenched vineyards of Gascony, it offers a slightly more textured and aromatic expression than classic Sauvignon Blanc, while retaining the region’s hallmark freshness and approachability. Light in alcohol and irresistibly drinkable, it’s a perfect example of why Côtes de Gascogne is so well loved for vibrant, everyday whites with plenty of charm.

On the nose, the wine is lifted and expressive, with aromas of grapefruit, lime zest and ripe peach, alongside hints of pineapple and fresh herbs. The palate is crisp and refreshing, showing juicy citrus and stone fruit flavours balanced by bright acidity and a subtle roundness through the mid-palate. Clean, zesty and beautifully balanced, it finishes with a refreshing snap that makes it ideal as an aperitif or alongside light dishes such as grilled fish, salads or goat’s cheese.
