Los Vascos Cromas Gran Reserva Carmenere 2021, Colchagua, Chile

Regular price £23.50

Domaines Barons de Rothschild acquired Viña Los Vascos in 1988, animated by a pioneering spirit and with the vision to reveal the potential of this exceptional land. Today they cultivate a common dream and project: to turn the expansive vineyard of Los Vascos into a rich ecosystem producing the most elegant Chilean wines possible. The Cromas range is a new release from Los Vascos and will essentially replace the Gran Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere. This new range represents a slightly richer and juicer style, compared to the restrained and elegant style that is a common trait in the wines of DBR Lafite. This wine is made solely from Carmenere grapes that are aged in French oak for 12 months.

Deliciously tempting with aromas of toasted spices, blueberry coulee, blackberry, cassis, plum, capsicum and black pepper. The palate is rounded with a great texture and weight. Despite the power and density this wine has it’s light on it’s feet and glides across the palate leaving ripe fruit and spice.
