Anseillan 2020, A.C. Pauillac, France

Regular price £70.00

The Anseillan 2020 is a refined and expressive red wine crafted by the team at Château Lafite Rothschild.  Hailing from vineyards within the Chateau Lafite Rothschild property, it showcases the elegance and finesse typical of the region, with a Merlot-led blend that brings approachability without sacrificing structure. After fermentation, wines are transfered into French oak barrels made by the Tonnelleries des Domaines in Pauillac for a period of 16 months approximately. Anseillan 2020 is a testament to the depth and character that Lafite brings to even its more accessible cuvées, making it a compelling choice for collectors and Bordeaux lovers alike.

Anseillan blends predominantly Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon, resulting in a wine that is rich, structured, and approachable. The 2020 vintage reflects the estate’s hallmark elegance, offering aromas of dark berries, violets, and subtle spice, with a silky texture, fine-grained tannins, and a lingering finish. While it is drinkable in its youth, the wine has the structure and balance to age gracefully.
