Opalie de Château Coutet 2013, A.C. Bordeaux, France

Regular price £20.00

Château Coutet is a Premier Grand Cru Classé producer located in Barsac, Sauternes. The vineyard is planted with Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle grapes which are hand-picked and benefit from climatic conditions created by the 'Golden Triangle': the Atlantic ocean to the West, Garonne River to the East and the great Landes forest to the South.

This dry white wine is a pale yellow color with green hues and has spent nine months in French oak. The nose offers aromas of white peach and citrus with some white blossom. On the palate, there are notes of grapefruit, apricot and lemon zest with a mineral finish. The 2013 vintage was marked by a fresh yet humid Spring and a heat wave in August.
