Portrait Melamine Plate Gainsborough

Regular price £5.00

Among the treasures of Waddesdon’s paintings collection is a portrait by Gainsborough, who’s subject has inspired this melamine plate. Suitable for al fresco dining or posh picnics.

Thomas Gainsborough used characteristically brilliant brushwork in this portrait of Frances Browne, Mrs John Douglas, painted in 1783-1784 and included in his first private exhibition. Little is known about the sitter.
