Wilding Cider Quercus 2022, Somerset, England

Regular price £17.50

Wilding Cider Quercus 2022 is a sophisticated, still and dry English cider from the exceptional 2022 vintage. A blend of traditional cider apples including Harry Masters Jersey, Ellis Bitter and Brown’s, it was matured in a combination of a tawny Port pipe and red wine barriques, developing impressive tannic structure, depth and complexity. At 7.5% ABV, it is a serious, gastronomic cider with remarkable richness and finesse.

Deep golden-amber in colour, with an expressive nose of ripe and baked apple, dried orchard fruit and subtle earthy notes, complemented by gentle aromas of oak, spice and red wine. The palate is rich and concentrated, combining ripe apple fruit with lively acidity and a pronounced yet beautifully integrated tannic structure. Notes of baked apple, apple skin, toasted oak and a touch of dried fruit develop through the mid-palate, while the previous cask maturation lends a subtle vinous character and warming spice.
